Nag die off yun caulerpa, not sure kun dahil sa vodka or dahil kulang sa par yun led grow lights. Two yrs na yun strain ng caulerpa ko. Niremove ko lang yun die off na nag brown. Pero ngaun madami na ulit new growth.

Congrats sa magandang set up sir, what made you go back to ATS after trying the DIY skimmer ?

Thanks, ats talaga plan ko from the start. Nahirapan lang ako mag hanap nun plastic canvass. Failed yun una kong try dahil nylon placemat lang yun ginamit ko, ayaw mag grow or kumapit mabuti nun algae kahit rough up na siya. The best talaga gamitin yun white plastic canvass, rough up. Now, i get about a cup of green algae every 10 days. I'll post pic on my next cleaning.

Mali ko din na ginawa dati sa ats before is using toothbrush to clean and always rinsing in tap water. Now i only use a scraper para marami pang maiwan na algae sa holes nun canvass. I also don't rinse it na every cleaning. If i need to rinse it i used old saltwater from my waterchange. Although sabi sa ibang forums na dapat paminsan minsan i rinse sa tap para ma kill yun mga pods na kumakain nun algae.

Light schedule ko sa ats is 6hours on 6 hours off. Nabasa ko lang na pede ma burn yun algae pag led. Might try other light sched in the future.

Ok sana yun diy skimmer. Problem ko lang, since seaquest lang yun pump is mataas watts (25watts 24hrs vs ats 20watts 12hrs a day) and maiinit. Mabilis din mapuno collection cup pag na dose ako vodka.

6 weeks old ATS. 10days after last cleaning. Nitrate drop from 40 to 20. Might need to increase light duration to further reduce nitrate.

Some brown algae occurred, will adjust the harvest every 10 days.

50g din ako pero fowlr pa and planning to move to a reef tank...
