Hi Paul...seems a dream will come true the soonest. I will find time to be there,South Forbes? during installation. I would suggst the following:
1. three chamber sump: mechanical filtrations, layered live rocks for better gas exchange i.e. make sure water is flowing throug the gap, isolation chamber for live stocks and return pump
2. wash room and storage
3. working space at the back of the tank, 0.6 meter will be fine
4. air ventilation for tank gas exchange; chiller exhaust system i.e chiller condenser heat should be brought outside the room/ house to minimize heat load, hobbyist usually overlooked placing chiller beside the tank without realizing the additional heat load
5. For structural design, i suggest to consult your civil engineer during the pre-construction stage, he might have a better idea.
6. for mechanical, always consider the pump head as the primary cause of in-efficient operation, waste of electrical power
7. What about considering PLC (proramable logic controller) as your centralized controller from tap off to automatic water change, instead of buying the over-prized gadget in the market. Our electrician, mayube you have too in your industry who can help you in assisting your desired sequence of operation. PLC with 50 input/ output will roughly cost P30K.
Hope this can be of help. Good luck
