help to catch my fish

Guys,

My trigger fish started to become a pest, ate my snails and hermit crabs. Can i ask for some tips on how to catch him without removing my rock scape? Thanks.

Crustaceans and shellfishes are their natural food, so I don't think the fish is at fault here.

Try catching it when the lights go off. But you will have a very difficult time getting it out since triggers "lock" itself in crevices.

how big is it? bet way is to diy a trap. a coke bottle trap would work.. if the trigger is still small.

Try mo iangat yun rock na pagtataguan nya like seth said nilolock nya sarili nya sa bato at di bibitaw yun kahit nasa labas na ng tank yun rock kung nasan sya, then ilipat mo sa pail na nsw let it sit for awhile pag bumitaw na sya sa pagkalock nya alisin mo na yung bato ibalik mo na sa dt mo. Now that's the best and easiest way para mahuli mo trigger. Yun ehh kung kaya mo alisin yung piece of rock na pagtataguan nya and to be sure saluhin mo ng net yun side ng rock kung asan sya para incase my posibilty na umalis sya dun nakasalo net mo hehe HTH

Bottle trap may work pero defenitely it will take time bago mo mahuli yan and re pano gumawa ng bottle trap i think sa diy section meron dun kung pano gawin browse ka lang bro

i think bottle trap will do the trick. i never attempted to catch mine eh. hehe good thing with triggers they had a dog like personality. once they know na ikaw master nila they will let you touch them. i hand feed mine,touch their belly and even use nail cutter to cut their tooth pag sobrang laki na at ayaw ng kumain. very much contrast pag wife ko ang tumitingin sa kanya, lagi naduduraan ng trigger. hehe.

After several puyat nights trying to catch my trigger while sleeping. I decided to make my diy fish trap made from gummy worms bucket and a poweraid bottle. Luckily it worked like a charm. Caught several of my fishes like my blue tang scopas tang fox face and clown. Finally it caught my trigger after using live shrimps as bait.
