Wax, here's my idea of the skimmer. Is the airstone necessary? (additional bubbles) I'll be using a PVC Pipe for the body and my old food processor container as the collection cup.

ang galing naman sa DIY ng mga hobbyist dito! how I wish i have a little DIY in me... I dont even have any idea on how to install my ReefOctopus.. hehe. Queen lang kaya ko...

He he he. But I'm not a god on this. I actually researched about recirc skimmers way back before when I was planning to make one for my tank. There's a great article that discusses about a design on how make it very effective with all the physics-related explanations and formulas.... but I couldn't find it anymore.

heck, i'm not good at DIY. matigas lang talaga ulo ko. 
pero, this is worth a shot. pag efficient, good for me. kung hindi.. yun lang.

and also audio ilan diameter ng pvc na gagamitin mo? kasi pag malakas ang pump katulad ng sabi nila e malakas turbulence so dapat malaki diameter tapos medyo mataas para atleast nde umabot sa foaming part yung turbulence. kung small lang diameter ang gagamitin mo e magcompensate ka na mataas yung chamber para nde umabot sa foaming part yung pag galaw ng tubig at di madisturb yung foaming part.
a very lifeless and empty 180 gal tank and a dead 75gal sump.
