DIY Food

Postby seth » Tue Apr 02, 2013 12:57 pm

All-purpose, complete food for fishes and corals (particularly NPS/azooxanthellate corals like tubastrea spp. and gorgonians)

This is quite similar to FM's Ultraseafan and Ultramin.

1 Vitamin B Complex capsule
1 Vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbate)capsule - as preservative and antioxidant
1 tbsp Chlorella powder and spirulina powder (can be bought in pharmaceutical stores. Alysons used to have them before, not sure if they still have it though) - rich in pigments and antioxidants
Dulong, Shrimp and Mussels - high in glutamic acids and amino acids.
1 tbsp Active dry yeast (if you can buy brewer's yeast, the better) - rich in minerals and beta glucan
1-2 tsp Carrageenan as binder
2-4 tbsp Cylopeeze (can be bought from our sponsors or at Argent Labs, Makati) - high in HUFA and asthaxanthin

Other optional add-ons

5ml Selcon
3ml Vitachem
1 Vitamin E
USP grade pure amino acid capsule (especially useful if you have seafans)

Wash the seafoods and drain prior to blending, to minimize phosphates.
If the mixture is too thick to blend/osterize, add a bit of freshly prepared saltwater.
Use sparingly. Too much food without ample filtration or insufficient husbandry will foul the water.

These are old pics, but you get the idea. :D

Argent Chemical Laboratories, Philippines
Room 404, 4th Fl., Cattleya Building
235 Salcedo Street
Legaspi Village, Makati City
Philippines

Tel: 632-815-6673, 632-819-3250
Fax: 632-817-6359
argentph@info.com.ph
General Manager Mr. Johnny Alegre

May spirulina rin sila pagkatanda ko at saka HUFA supplement and artificial plankton. Maganda diyan group buy kasi malaki masyado yung mga binebenta nila. :)

Vitamin B, C and E kahit generic lang.

Marty

Around 600 Pesos yung maliit na can. Better call them for an updated price listing. Meron din silang HUFA, spirulina powder at artificial plankton.

@obet yup group buy yan, baka next month siguro. Try ko akong dumaan kung may oras. Need ko ng HUFA eh.

Eto yung sa weider:

http://www.weider.com/en/shop/product/amino-6000/

Pampa-macho ng corals yan. :P Milk based ata siya but IME and AFAIK walang apparent detrimental effect. Kaso dapat tipid sa pag gamit niyan dahil maraming surplus nitrate ang kalalabasan pag sobra.

Marty

Off mo dun. Feeling ko kasi lasing ako pag nababasa ko replies mo.

Regarding dun sa issues sa saltmix especially sa cyano, isang malaking BS yun.

Regarding vitamins, lahat yan generic. Yung nasa capsule, kasi yung tablet may binders. Yung B-complex at Vitamin E ganoon din. Wag niyo lang dadamihan tutal supplemental lang yan.
Cheers,
Marty

Luckily one of my client is under the same building and luckily again on the same floor lng ni argent labs so nakadaan ako. hehe.. They have lot of products for sale na mahirap mahanap sa market specially sa reefers like us. Madami sila stock ng cyclopeeze, spirulina, artificial plankton and many other. They also have anaesthetic pag itatravel nyo ng matagal ung livestock para hndi mastress, even pati pang cross sexing ng isda (i think this one if for freshwater like tilapia). I can post the pricelist that I got from them and the calling cards para makapag inquire ung mga interested.
With Gratitude,
