100 Galons Freshwater Tank to Saltwater

Hi Guys!

It's my first post and pardon kung tanong agad ha ha ha

I have a 17 galons saltwater tank (bought from Marine Quest where yung SUMP is nasa likod) that I have luckily kept alive for 3 weeks na... (my initial foray to the saltwater aquarium was a disaster he he he)

With the success - I'm looking at upgrading to a bigger tank with less gastos sana
I have a 100 and a 50 galon freshwater tank that I wanted to reuse... pwede ba ito pa convert na lang? or better na pagawa ng pang saltwater?

Suggestion po?

BTW: Napansin ko kasi sa mga SW tank medyo mataas (malalim) - whereas yung sa mga Freshwater pahaba? mas maganda ba na malalim?

Sounds like you're ready to take the plunge into SW. Just remember to take your time and research first. Your patience will be tested anyway, a standard 72x18x18 tank is a good start, just have holes drilled and you can convert your 50G to a sump. You can contact mang ramon to do it. Check my member's page. What you are planning is exactly what i did. HTH

Yup. He does home service and parang majority of tanks here in RP are made and serviced by him.

hI Jokwang,

I suggest you read about proper cycling before putting any livestock in your tank.

Read and research before doing anything and ask if possible, a lot of us RP members are willing to answer all your questions and help you in the process. And as mentioned by Master jourdy, everything is magnified; everything takes longer in this hobby, thus, you'd have to have lots and lots of patience in order to succeed.

Im not sure din, pero alam ko kung magconvert ka ng fw to sw tanks kelangan din ata masigurado na hindi ka naka gamit ng copper medication sa FW tank mo dati.
