I think the reason bakit air-pump is because you have to use relay switch if you want to put it on an AC motor. makukuryente mga LS mo if you put directly sa 110V ung float switch. And somehow, delikado din, baka magkaron ng short circuit. IMO

@macoy21:
naisip ko lng kc kung gagamit ako ng water pump.. and thats a 220v.. and then nkaconnect sya sa level float switch and submerged in the water in my sump.. bka may chance na mgkaground and makurentehan ako hehehehe :P so to be safe.. airpump na lng ginamit ko hehe :D
concept ng ato using airpump is, if level switch is on.. then it will activate the airpump.. then air goes to the reservoir container creating pressure inside. so water will tend to move to the end of the tubings(sump).

@macoy21:
yes sir.. dapat air tight sealed tlga ang reservoir.
i used sealant and devcon to hold the pvc sa cover ng container.

if full pa ang reservior, it only takes 30sec to a minute na nkaON ang pump. and then if medyo paubos na ang nsa reservoir.. 2-3 minutes na.

since online na ang diy ato ko.. never pa ako ngchange ng battery.. april ata un..

if your concerned about getting electricuted, dapat nag relay ka na lang.. or just make sure na water tight yung level switch..

an advantage of using an airpump, IMO, is that the flow of RO water is small compared to that is you use a water pump.. kaya hindi mashock sa sudden change ng salinity yung mga livestock lalo na kung nano tank..

nice diy.. similar to what i did before, but mine was connected to a 5g container.. why not try to boost your airpump and connect it to an adapter? para hindi kna din magpapalit ng battery.. just a suggestion.. :mrgreen:
