DIY LED Lights

I was just browsing through Alibaba.com and ran across these interesting LED light fixtures.



I was just wondering if anyone has tried using them in a hood before? I think it would be easy enough to string together a couple of sockets in a makeshift hood and install these babies. What do you guys think? I'm hoping 6 of them strung together over my planned 5.5G nano would just fit the bill perfectly.

I don't suppose any of the local providers sell them thought, do they? It would make my life easier that way. hahaha

Thanks for the heads up on LukasLED. Kaso mukhang wala silang higher than 7000K na color temp. I would prefer 10000K sana, ayaw ko ng masyadong malumot.

Kulitin na lang natin si Obet para turuan tayo kung paano ginawa yung light niya. I asked sa china through alibaba, the sample unit for their 50W LED Aquarium light is $110US, if worse comes to worst I'll just save up for that. 5 Gallon lang naman yung gagawin kong setup eh

i think you can get away with a 5 gal set up using cfl, mas mura pa.

Wala naman akong makitang cfl na higher than 6700k ang light temp. Yung solarmax 6500K lang raw. grrrrr

that's a very very good question. Pinuntahan ko lahat ng stores sa cartimar this morning and not one carries CFL lighting. Hindi pa nga nila alam yung cfl eh, PL lang ang term nila and special order daw to get it. That really sucks
