Using Exhaust Fans

As an alternative, subukan nyo ang "box fan". They come in different sizes, and all have velocity control, which is nice. Puede ilagay sa sump, with air flowing over the water. As I said in another post, same principle as blowing on your hot bowl of mami to cool it off.

exhaust fans come in different sizes, from i think 8 inches up. if i were to use exhaust fans siguro aalisin ko yung parang blinds covering the air path and gagamitin ko rin sa directed inside my tank.

i am now using PC fans about an inch above my main tank, effective naman sya and lower ang wattage compared to bigger fans. siguro if you have exhaust fans use it nalang sa lights para di masyadong uminit yung ilaw at hindi na matransfer yung init sa tank mo.

i agree with raymond. plus wih PC fans, less noise. try to look for the Boxer brand, antibay, malakas, only .2 amperes. exhaust fans are like, 25w at 220V?

If you have clams, LPS or SPS, you want that evaporation, not just to keep your tanks cool but also to maintain calcium levels above 400ppm. I don't have a calcium reactor so I rely on the evaporation to maintain and dose calcium by dripping kalkwasser. I have an old fashioned low tech set up but it works.

Yes sir, I do have some LPS corals like hammer, bubble, brain and a flowerpot (goniopora). I also have anemones (sabae, long tentacle and a bubble). I plan to move them to a bigger tank when I buy one next year (around 100G). I was planning to make either a kalkwasser or calcium reactor (or possibly buy one kasi sabi ni apple medyo mahirap gawin yung calcium reactor). Gusto ko by the time na gagawin ko na yung tank, available na lahat ng materials, especially yung mga very important parts.
Thanks.
