Is it possible to track on-line scammers?

Can we track the location of those posting on ebay and sulit.com? My brother just got scammed.

Hard to do, since scammers may also use fake photos and identities. Badtrip yung mga ganyan, laking perwisiyo ginagawa nila. >:( Best thing to do is report them to the web admin, keep a record of the conversations and transactions. Kung malaki talaga ang nawala, report niyo sa pulis tapos sabihan niyo din mga kakilala niyo.

Maganda rin kung may contact details kayo, baka magamit niyo yun.

Well he saw a post at ebay selling iphone 5, bidding daw, nasa 24k. Then after a few days he saw it at sulit.com, thats the time naging interesado siya. So kinontak niya, taga cagayan de oro daw, anak mayaman, binigay mga details ng phone, serial number, the package etc etc.., then payment thru gcash, then wait for shipment. Inadd pa nga siya sa fb. Then after mabayad na ay hindi na makontak ang phone, na unfriend na din siya sa fb at nawala din ang fb account. Nakakainis kasi thats a lot of money, kung alam lang natin na magkakaganyan sana kinuha ko na lang at pinambili ko ng ai vega. Madals kasi bumibili sa ebay brother ko, pero hindi ebay phil, ok naman mga orders niya, dumarating. Kung kelan sino pa kababayan niya ay yun pa nanloko sa kanya. Given the chance bubulbusin ko pagmumukha ng gagong yun. Sana ibang gago din ang naloko niya, napakabait ng brother ko para ganunin niya. Well la na magawa, lumipad na pera. Hay...

Sorry to hear the news about your bro being scammed. Lesson learned, never ever trust anyone right away specially if the price of the items are so incredibly cheap in comparison. Just like " Too Good To Be True"

this kind of thing happened to me too. I was so angry then. tried to contact people that can do bad things to bad people but in the end, decided to just let it go. it will just make things worse and more hassle. just charge it to experience and never ever trust anybody. even friends. the next time he does transact, try to view the reviews on that person. but the best is to have a face to face transaction or kaliwaan. sobrang same thing happened to me. fil-chi pa kamo yun. makakarma din mga yan at tenfold ang balik sa kanya.

Syet badtrip nga. Sorry to hear. Best thing is report the guy or at least warn your friends about him. Ang gcash pagkaalam ko kailangan ng real name para maregister so mahahabol niyo pa yun. Madami talagang ganyan online, kaya iba pa rin talaga pag kaliwaan ang transaction. Kung hindi man sa inyo, sana may makahuli diyan para wala nang maloko pa.
