Oh ok, so actually, if i had exposed them to occasional low doses of UV, then i would not have damaged them as much as what happened... you are right, the most recent addition LPS (no doubt collected fr the wild) was not damaged at all... i noticed that the color of my latest LPS was changing from green to orange.. while old pieces of darker colored SPS were bleaching... didn't realize coral reacted so fast to UV exposure... 3 days = color change OR death!
the silly thing is that i got a nasty sunburn myself i was working on some aquascaping some days ago and it did not dawn on me that it was bec of my lights and not of normal sun exposure when i went out bec it was sunny few days ago... I never got a sunburn this bad while working on my tank for the past year! Darn! i was so stupid not to associate it with damaged lights!
am gonna feel really bad losing so many of my old SPS due to my own "stupidity", i think i may lose the darker, older SPS pieces, the brighter ones look like they will survive.....
