The coral should be okay. The only time I know of that these fish do damage to a coral is when they spawn, quite often they will remove a small section of coral tissue and use the bare skeleton to lay their eggs on. The nipping behaviour is probably the fish just eating some coral mucus or it can see some detritus/food trapped or laying on the coral's tissue. This should not be a big issue for the coral.
