Since the topic is about sun corals mind if I butt in some questions.
Hi Charles,
I bought my suncorals last Friday. Bought seven colonies; size is like mini basketball. Maybe about 15-20 polyps. I placed some in the main tank and sump. One colony I bought was severly injured and producing a white slime almost half are dying. They are now 3 days at my tank I tried feeding them but still they won't open. I feed mine with cyclopeeze also tried rods food. I really don't know what the problem is, my other suncorals which is 1 month old is doing ok. What I tried was placed the other sun corals in different areas like cavelike structures low light, moderate flow etc... Some polyps are dying. I'm very afraid of losing them I hope you can help me thanks
My 1 month old Tubastrea doing good. Shots were made during night time.
2 Colonies of tubastrea in my main tank.
4 Colonies of Tubastrea in my sump. Notice 1 colony is starting to die. That colony is the one i aquired injured.
1 Colony on a cavelike structure on my main. notice 2 polyps died maybe because of the flow? flow here is minimal. And saw my sally lightfoot crab scavenging the area.
Close up pic on my dying colony
OT: What is this chocolatechip starfish doing to my red fomia? starfish
Thanks in advance chuck. Comments and suggestions is surely appreciated.
