Ecotech already had one with their "EcoSmart Live" but they are still on a long road ahead of them on par with Neptune's Apex Controller.

Hi all,

I'm lucky to be part of the EcoTech Product Test Team, which is a small private group that beta test new, unannounced products. It's a new group and I did get to test the QuietDrive VorTechs before it came out. Sorry I can't say what's coming pero I can answer or find answers if you have EcoTech Marine (ETM) or AI related questions.

As for the merger, from what I heard, magfofocus ang AI sa lower end lighting. Ang first product nila after the merge is the AI Prime.

As for competing with Neptune, all I can say is ETM is quite focused on EcoSmart Live (ESL). Notice that all their products now can be controlled or programmed through ESL via the ReefLink.

Also, did your reefing social network project ever take off? I'm a web developer and planning to build one...just wondering what challenges you faced.

There's nothing I can say about lighting as of the moment.

Glad you remembered that project! I didn't get to formally launch it but might come back to it again some time in the future. -- just different priorities right now. In hindsight, I think I targeted for too much features with very limited resources. Let me know if I could help more with your project. Contact me off line via PM.
