new windmills in the US costs $10,000 ata. aray. don't know about solar panels, pero both are good when considering long-term expenses.

quick question, any of you guys familiar with "endless pools" advertised in american mags? pwede kaya dito yun?

back to topic:

solar panels (208w) cost $1000 more or less. is there a bigger panel with bigger capacity? there are two types if my memory serves me well, roof-type and free standing.

regarding firecrackers, there should be a protective cover in case this kind of incident happens. (GI/PVC sheets?)

back on geo cooling, how big and how deep should it be to cool down a 25,000 gal. reef pool? should it be the same size or bigger?

not sure if somebody has already mentioned 'MARIBAGO BLUE WATER Beach Resort in Cebu City. They have a big pond full of sharks and reef fishes.

if you have any connection then maybe it's a good thing to check about maintenance and/or operation cost. I think they are not using a skimmer coz they're utilizing the fountain for oxygen supply and might also help in filtration. I coud be wrong though.

if there's anyone here from that area, it would be best that you chimed in as well to give us an idea.

read that thread too Phil...very interesting i think that won thread of the month in RC...so this imaginary reef pool with the support of an imaginary FAT wallet... it would be all from natural sources...top off water could come from rain, a Gigantic bestank could collect it during the rainy season... since the lighting is natural sunlight it would be nice to have solar panels for electricity...have wave makers, you like those pools of those water parks.. to make it like the real thing when you go snorkling in it...and the chiller would be GEO cooling...in a green house to prevent rain...and the jacuzzi(hoping theres one) would be like the refugium with cheatos or mangroves with DSB and with waterfall action going to the main pool hahahaha... a guy can dream right.. just the thought of it makes your imagination work...thanks PHIL for starting a interesting and fun thread!
