Stumbled on an interesting thread at SRC that would cast some doubts on our glass tanks used with Dow Corning silicone sealants...

My worst nightmare came true using DC795! The seals gave way at the bottom. Luckily it still can stretch and did not gave way all at one otherwise my whole could have been flooded!
IME stick to the usual silicon sealant used for fish tanks! DC795/793 for tanks; use at your own risk!
(One good thing though is that I managed to removed all the old 795 and completely rebuilt my tank - it is so easy to dismantle a tank using DC795)[/i]
