Nag lay ng egg un domino damsel ko.
Can someone teach me what to do para mabuhay sila?

Mahirap buhayin yan pero worth the try. Check this link:

You will need phytoplankton and rotifiers and a dedicated nursery.

If you are able to source all the things needed to feed the fry, may chance na mabuhay mo sila. Ang problema kasi yung larval stage nila.

You may order rotifiers and phytoplankton starters at SEAFDEC. A one-liter phyto kit is about 100 if I remember right.

@thurrmac natanong ko rin dati yan para nga sana menos hassle, kaso sa larval stage hindi daw talaga sila kakain ng ibang pagkain maliban sa phyto at rotis.

Hay, kung tulad lang sana sila ng FW fish, di sana di na natin kailangan bumili ng wild-caught.

@engrchun odds are really not on your favor, but do try to make them grow. If you cannot get some live rotis and phyto through SEAFDEC, try asking Grafh11, baka mayroon pa siya. Kung wala talaga, try mo na rin nga yung de-bote na phyto food. Or try mo rin nga yung sinabi ni thurrmac. Better than nothing.

BTW you will also need an ammonia neutralizer for your nursery. Read the details on the links I posted.

kaso mga sir, andaming kasama sa tank. may clown nemo, african, skunk, na clown. may angel. may maroon clown. yellow belly damsel. mandarin.haha makain kaya un mga fry?

im still doing rotifers and nannochloropsis phyto. unfortunately, hindi mo talaga mabubuhay yan. hindi basta basta ang pagbuhay ng mga larvae ng fish especially those kasi sobra liit and also kelangan mo din buhayin ang rotifers and phyto. some people try otohime powder in exchange for rotifers pero maliit lang chance na kainin nila yun. better than nothing.

@engrchun Take it from grahf, siya ang may experience diyan at si dean.

ang mahirap kasi sa mga isda na nasa larval stage pa ay sobrang picky eater sila, instinct siguro or something. Mas gusto nila yung gumagalaw at magkakasya ng maayos sa bibig nila.

posible rin na may hinahanap silang 'scent' or enzyme sa pagkain para mag-trigger ng feeding response, gaya ng mga corals kapag may na-detect na amino acids (glutamic acid for example) sa tubig. But again, I am not sure.

@grahf how did your clownfish breeding project before go? Do you still raise baby clownfishes?

im still doing the project. im 80% ok na with rotifers and phyto. i got the hang of it after a year of practice. now the problem is all my clown pairs arent spawning. i hope it is just time that i need and not anything else that i still dont know. im ready for more babies.

currently, i have around 25+ baby clowns hatched around 12 days ago. most of them already got head bands. it will take 2 months before they get all 3 bands. parents are marlon's clowns ( piquatro female and black clown male )

Good to hear you are still continuing your project, too bad your clowns don't spawn yet. It would be very awesome if somehow you (or other fellow hobbyists) could breed common marine fishes on a commercial scale then sell them at a competitive price in the near future, so as to encourage everyone to buy tank-raised fishes.

Sounds tough and very daunting, but I for one, will be rooting for you.

dont worry seth, i wont be stopping this project anytime soon. i stopped reefing because of this and kahit na hirap na hirap nako, im still enjoying what im doing even after a full year of failure and discourage. now my problem nga is theyre not spawning and eating problems eventhough my water is very clean. i can even grow sps on that hatchery because my phos and nitrate there are zero. i always make sure they wont get stressed by anything except breeding. i just hope they breed soon.
