Epoxy for foam wall

for guys who has experience with rock foam walls, just wanna ask kung anong ba dito yung epoxy na pwede sa foam wall ko? wala kasi ako mahanap na epoxy resin eh, or ito na ba yon mismo?

just got may eggcrate na kasi and will be starting this project soon. Epoxy/acrylic resin nalang kulang ko.

what exactly do you need? the resin or the putty? and for what purpose you'll be needing it? pang coat ba? kasi yung mga nasa link putty yan eh... meaning resin with fillers. used as surfacing compound and gluing.
kung resin naman, meron ang republic chemical na resin that's called epoxy floor coating (EFC). some wilcon stores have this. sabi nila non-toxic daw 'to but i have never tried it yet.

i almost have all the materials, just bought the pond foam & a 2x4ft eggcrate a while ago,
epoxy nalang kulang. I need to cover the foam with epoxy resin. yun lang nakalagay sa thread eh. actually, the one in RC, He used the Bondo brand Epoxy resin in coating the foam & covering it with sand. you need to cover the foam kasi it will be damaged by UV over time. so what they do is coat it with epoxy and sand(Epoxy as a coating for the foam while an adhesive to the sand.) Locally, andaming epoxy dito satin hndi ko naman kung ano ang tama

any thoughts bro?

O.T. BTW, do you know where to buy some acrylic cement? i got some acrylic sheets kase and plan on doing a project.

if you need resin, you can get it here:


get the laminating epoxy set A & B. it's nontoxic. it's the same resin i use in my tank builds. just find the branch nearest to you.

sa may jose abad santos ako kumukuha ng acrylic adhesive. P400+ isang bote... acrylic blue tawag dun. will the acrylic hold pressure or weight? kasi kung hindi naman, you may use silicone or epoxy.

it will, little pressure lang. mga 2 inches of water lang. problem ko is yung pang cut since hacksaw lang meron dito. tssss

btw how much pala yung resin sakanila? and ilang hours curing time nun? thanks.

what i used was fiberglass resin and some fibers tapos sand.. ok naman up to now.. medyo nagaacumulate lang yung ibang stritus sa likod kasi hindi masyado lapat pagkalagay namin..

haha, nagsawa ako sa rockwok ko.
anyway, balak ko kasi parehong side wall lang yung may rock wall(left & right), tapos sa gitna, open space lang,para maluwag sa fishes ko. may mga mababang rocks lang halos ka level ng substrate for my shrooms, gsp, etc. yung mga peste sa tank ko. haha. i plan to transfer all my LS to another tank that i will connect to my existing my sump. oh diba, so parang nagpalit lang ako ng DT habang on the works yung original, kasi im sure may die-offs sa LR pag natapos ko yung rockwall. so magmini cycle muna sya alone for 2 weeks..

1 gallon yun, 2.7L yung A and 1.1L yung B. wala kasing maliitan yun eh... kung meron lang akong excess dito bentahan na lang kita ng retail eh!
