IMO hindi na nag supply ng rio ang supplier kasi yung last item nila madaling masira "according sa dealer na binilihan ko ng rio". I have rio 17hf and 14hf, parehong nasira in 1 month lang (putol ang impeller). The problem is ayaw palitan ng dealer, suppose to be may warranty ang rio. As of now im using HYDOR made in italy.

after more than a year of practice on culturing rotifers and phyto, here are some babies from a pair of piquatro and black clown




sorry for the blurry pic but as you can see, they already have head bands. theyre very small and are very mobile. i hope some nice coloration comes out after a few months.

yes jen medyo namaster ko na mga phyto and roti. mga 80% skilled nako sa mga food nila. ang problem ko lang talaga now is ayaw nila manganak. sobrang nakakairita. kayang kaya mo din ito gawin kelangan lang talaga e gusto mo ginagawa mo. kasi pag hindi, iiwan mo to after a few months of failure. i cannot explain what i did sa mga roti and phyto pero ang suggestion ko lang talaga is kelangan magpractice para makuha mo yung tamang timpla, tamang paglinis at tamang timing para di magcrash mga un. pero still, may mga crashes pa rin ako di maiiwasan daw talaga kasi yung holding room ko e maalikabok. dun galing yung dumi kaya nagccrash yung phyto. sa susunod na lang pag may laboratory na talaga ako.

malabo. kasi super liit sila eh. mas maliit pa sila sa newly hatched artemia. more on corals ang kumakain ng roti at mga pods

I once almost attempted to cultivate portobello and oyster mushrooms for the hell of it (I like homemade/homegrown food, I used to make sausages and bacon before) but upon research, the project would require me to maintain an ultra sterile environment to prevent molds and other nasty things from contaminating the whole prop system.. So ayun, di ko na tinuloy. (at least for the meantime)

Anyway, if making a dedicated lab for plankton culture is not possible maybe you could try building something like this:

Like a sort of enclosure for the phytos/rotis, a glass cabinet with a small air filter or perhaps a shelf covered with plastic sheet or something like that?

you can do target and dose no problem. patay mo lang return for a few minutes para maabsorb nila at di lang mapunta ng sump.

im still far from producing commercially. i can only maintain a few batches of rotifers right now kasi medyo matakaw talaga sila kumain ng phyto. i need around 10x 1.5 liters of phyto running all the time just to feed 1x 5 gallon rotifers.
