NP Biopellets Users: Pls share your thoughts here

Hello, Jackryan. I have also set up my biopellets reactor recently, with the pellets that Jourdy gave me to try out. The setup is on its 4th day. I am not experiencing the water cloudiness. Is this good or bad?

really difficult to say... just make sure you watch out for any wild PH swings and of course take emergency measures if you see sign of distress in your livestock...

however, based on my research in other forums, it seems that folks have different experiences both good and bad with this solution... the baseline parameters also makes a lot of difference in the results... so in short, your mileage may vary... :wink:

@ Random - sorry late reply, I had 2 bacterial blooms, at introduction of BP and after a month or so.

Cloudy water / Bacteria bloom

"Cloudy water or Bacteria bloom occur a couple of days after introduction of the NP Reducing BioPellets. 99% of the bacteria blooms take place when high levels of nitrates, 20ppm or higher, are present. How to solve this problem ?When you measure high nitrate levels in the aquarium please introduce the NP Reducing BioPellets in steps. Start with 25-50% of the volume you want to use. Wait 3-7 days and add some more pellets to your filtersystem. Repeat this untill the desired amount of NP Reducing BioPellets is reached".

Recently purchased bp reactor.
Questions Lang guys:
1.Yung pellets nung akin ng sstock Lang sya sa taas. Hindi sya ng tumbled. Mg sesettle down din ba and mg tumbled yung pellets??
2.kailangan ba tlga yung water output ng reactor dapat diretso sa skimmer??yung set up ko kasi output ng reactor diretso na sa second chamber ng sump. Saka nalang dadaan sa skimmer yung water na galing sa reactor pag bagsak sa overflow.any suggestions guys. Thanks.

I am on my 2nd week. I think its working kasi my nitrates are low or undetectable. Di ko inalis rowa phos sabay ko sila tinatakbo. About water flow well mine mabilis i copied those in you tube. So far i am liking thw results
