(actually i like DIY stuff because it keeps me busy and it saves me alot of money...)

ive got some concerns with your set-up..
the leds on the left seem to have pins under the board.. hindi ba nakadikit sa aluminum heatsink mo? aluminum is a good conductor.. baka ma short yung power suply mo..
also the LEDs you used looks like superbright LEDs.. malakas din sila pero yung power density nila is small compared to power LEDs.. i think you can do with softies but not sps.. but i may be wrong.. good luck!

im skeptical about using these LEDs on sps.. maybe on LPS and softies.. ive seen these kind of LEDs used on nano tanks in RC.. problem with these LEDs is that they have a low power density, as i said before.. so you'll need a lot, like sa RC buong hood niya, LEDs lang..
