Shandy's Banggai Breeding Log 2010

After several breeding attempts i was finally able to breed them. I will be logging my breeding and raising attempts here.

Release date: 7/20/2010 - 11 Banggai Fry



As of today, 7/23/2010 all are doing well. They are all eating and look bigger than 3 days ago. Remarkable how they grow so fast. Will try to take pics again tonight.

Preparing the fry raising tank. Will transfer them when i feel they are ready.

11 fry was released. I think thats it na cause the male is already feeding again.

7/26/2010 Update

1 fry i think will not make it. Its still alive but its always lying down on the bottom of the cage. Looks like it has a swim bladder problem. All others doing ok. Still feeding a lot. Will try to take pics again tonight.

Just an update...

As of today lost 1 fry only. However I don't know where the carcass went. It just disappeared. This one was the one which had a swim bladder problem and was always lying down on the bottom.

I also am weaning them off the bbs and so far they like my shaved DIY food. Fed them this morning and they seem to take it in. So far so good.
