VODKA dosing

Do you guys check or PH when dosing vodka? I read somewhere that PH must be checked also so I did check mine. Its only PH 7.6 From I think 8.2 to 8.4. I do not know how it relates to PH but when you load up on vodka the biomass of organism that eats nitrates increases to thereby increasing dissolve oxygen requirement for the tank. I Turned on my Ozonator to increase oxygen in the water, my PH went up to 8.0 to 8.1 again. Baka pwede din airpump. I dont know but thats my counter measure.

hi all,, its been 4 days,, since i dosed vodka,, 70 gallons, 1st 3 days .0ml,, 4th day, 1.2ml..,,, initial phosphate check 2.0, nitrate between 5-10 (API),, question is ok lang ba mag water change on the initial stage of dosing? kulay pula na kase sand ko bcause of cyano i guess. ty!

Thanks yoki. I stopped dosing vodka for while muna. I have bp naman and i dose brightwell products muna. My phosphate is what i am having trouble with. Cant get it down to .05ppm levels its staying at aroud .07 to .12. Pag nag water change lalo tumataas. I tried crystal clear water refiller meron pa rin phos na .15 ppm. I do not think they check for that kasi doon sa test sheet nila walang phosphates na test. Plus our body needs phosphtes ata. So they dont care less.

Tugasi, what test kit did u use sa agua vida. Api kasi di nya kaya to detect low concentration kala mo zero pero hindi. Pag hannah gamit ko meron pa rin.

Vic, great idea.. But can i just use an ohf with rowa just for that?
