Ulva Lettuce Algae, also known as Sea Lettuce, is an excellent macroalgae for refugiums. This nutritious leafy green algae is readily accepted by herbivorous fish as well as invertebrates like sea hares, and lettuce nudibranchs. It is a great substitute when natural algae have been depleted in the aquarium.
Ulva Lettuce Algae removes both phosphate and nitrate from the water. To increase the amount of nutrients this algae exports, use moderate to high lighting and keep it in an area of high water flow. It should ideally be tumbled in an algae filter.
This algae is sold by the bag and will arrive in a dense mat.
