Synthetic corals are geat for all fish tank system. Dont be fooled. Some synthetic corals are made of silicon material that do not do well in seawater. You will notice when they are place near the bottom of the sand it reacts and burns the silicon material to a darker color like black. Thus may cause pollution in your water.

I agree with you guys and more so your fish will be more comfortable in tanks with either synthetic or live corals as it would mimic a true sea environment.
