thank you guys for all the encouraging words... i really need it... kasi since my last post; my tank underwent 3 unfortunate events...
1. all my lps died slowly... one at a time... and to add to it pa... the lps dying are the ones i love most... i thought that im dosing too much bacteria...but to cut the story short two big fireworms were the culprit.
2. all my sps died instantly due to ph swing from too many kalk use to kill aptaisia... my personnel was carried away to kill every aptaisia on the tank. resulting to ph swing of 8.05 (normal level) to 11.... ending result is stn of most of my colonies... sad part is most of my colonies started as frags....
3. after the ph swing... my tank recovered nicely... but maybe after 5 months, another mishalf happened. my personnel forgot to turn on the chiller after cleaning the main tank... so the tank was left without chiller for 3 days.... and my lights are 3x275 watts mh lit for 10 hours plus 4 39 watts t5... resulting to very high temperature... my normal range is only 24-25 celcius... but because of this mishalf my temperature went up to 34 degrees... resulting to sps stn, one big clam died on me, some imported zoas died, and three fishes died one me... haaaay....
after all this things happened, i really ponder on quitting... pero naunahan ako ni shandy... tapos my wife told me to continue on... im very thankful to my wife for being supportive... so now im on a hunting mode again of good livestock...
by the way due to the recent telenobelas here in rp... nawala ang pagkalungkot ko... hehehehehe...
peace everyone....
