May mga parts na yung downlight lang ang umaabot (under the rockscape sa right part) so yellowish sya pero overall satisfied ako sa blending. Thanks sa tips Marty. btw, confirmed ko na, may fan nga sa loob yung PAR30 ni peter. dagdag na lang ako para dun sa CDR king downlights.

UPDATE: After the 7th week of cycling, this is what my tank looks like....





One good learning here is that the algae growth patterns wil give you a very good idea of the flow and light intensities within your tank. malalaman mo nasan malakas flow, nasan yung mga hindi masyado abot ng ilaw based sa itsura ng algae patterns.

Will test the water later to see if nitrates have started to go down already.

UPDATE: 10th week into cycling!

All surfaces inside the DT (walls, sand bed, LR surface) covered with diatoms.





7 weeks nang at least 160ppm Nitrates, will do partial water change this week.

curious lang ako since nag cycyle din ako ng 2nd tank ko ngayon

mas okay ba yung open yung light while cycling para lumabas agad yung algae? or diba mas okay yung patay yung light para mapigilan algae then open nalang pag tapos ng cycling pag mababa na nutrients para di na lumabas algae?
