I have been a member of RP since 2010. Since then I have learned a lot from the members by lurking into the various sections of the forum. I got a new phone yesterday
and took some photos....thought it's about time to share some. I started with a 20g FOWLR tank and an RO HOB skimmer. After several months, I decided to take the plunge. With Marlon's expertise, I upgraded to this tank. Unfortunately, due to lack of time, I neglected it until early this year....lost most of the corals, coralline algae except the fish.
I have "resurrected" the tank in March this year. Below are the specs:
DT: 60 x 18 x 18
Lights : Evergrow D120 x 2
Circulation: Jebao WP40 Rio H17 ( return, also feeds chiller and RO NP biopellet reactor)
Chiller: Teco TR20 set at 27C
Skimmer: RO 150? 8 inches
RO BP Reactor ( WM Ecobak )
RO Reactor with GFO
Two-part dosing, manual ( warner marine)
I use Blue Treasure salt mix and do a 5 gallon water change every week. My water parameters are close to SPS specs using API test kits. Still need to find a magnesium test kit.
Got a few SPS frags from Grahf two weeks ago. This seems to be my most successful attempt at SPS so far with all frags looking as healthy and colorful as they did on day one. Dati kasi wala pang isang linggo deds na. Hoping to get some tips from you guys to make sure they thrive.
