Put in fish guts for cycling.

Reading from yesterday
Phosphate I'm estimating 1ppm?



Nitrate 5 or 10ppm? kind of looks the same.

Got a refractometer from Peter a few days ago.

I checked with freshwater and it read 1.000

I checked my tank and it was 1.030!!

still in the process of lowering it to around 1.023

From my understanding, colder water will make it have an increased reading due to water compression. And warmer water will decrease the reading.

So assuming 1.023 at 32C. Around 1.025 at 28C. Am I correct?

Just general numbers just to get the idea. I cant remember the conversion numbers right now.

Removed the fish guts last night and replaced with fish meat.

I'm telling you, the stench of the fish guts when I removed it from the water was REALLY bad. It would ruin your otherwise wonderful day hehe.
