After a year and a half, my 4ft tank will be decommissioned this weekend or the next long weekend converting it to a discus tank.

When I check the salinity of the tank it was around 1.14 which caused all of my corals and inverts to their death and I’m not sure if the chiller was working back then as well.

Series of unfortunate events leading to my tanks demise.

- Help called that the hose from the chiller - back to the sub tank got loose and spilled water to the floor.
- Good thing I had 3 extra 5gallon containers with saltwater in them which they used 2 5gallons to fill back up the sub tank
- After 30 minutes help called back that the hose got loose again and spilled water to the floor
- They replaced it with the last 5 gallon container and I THINK they replaced it with fresh water to compensate with the spilled saltwater.
