MikeDown's 4ft rimless tank build

New Year New Tank:

Shortly after posting how much a new 4ft rimless tank would cost Marlon gave a heads up that clemo was letting go of his 4ft rimless tank.

So after 3 years I’ve decided to update and give up my display tank with the following reasons.

1. I was unable to win the aiptasia invasion in my tank
2. Internal calfo overflow was a haven for aiptasia’s
3. Obets bickering about the huge scratch on the front panel of my tank

Current Equips
Tank: 48X18X20 rimless tank
Sump: Using my old sump just removing the other baffles
Skimmer: Reef Octopus
Reactors: 2 x Skimz Reactor
Flow: 2x EcoTech Marine's Vortech MP40w ES
2X 6w sun sun pump
Lighting: 2x250 20K MH, 2X54 T5 actinic lights
Water Cooler: Teco TR20
Return Pump: HF 17 thinking of upgrading to another return pump


Working Progress:

• Repaint cabinet and reattach the left side door of the cab, can anyone recommend a stainless hinge that I could use?

• Re do the pipes hopefully I can the piping within the week.

• I’m also planning for a minimalist rockscape ( which I doubt I can do) and a bare bottom tank

I'm using my old live rocks, which are now dead/base rocks.

Mang ramon will drop by tomorrow to add the overflow "teeths" or "harang" and to help me design my subtank.

I've also purchased my PVC's for my pipings.

Pics please. Mike...Aiptasia is really difficult to control...I change my tank too hoping that they be eliminated; unfortunately, they are coming back. Quarantin first your coral in different system for two months, check and observe pag may aiptasia pa prior to placing them in your tank.
