@april
my nitrate is below 20 ppm, I just need to change 5 gallons once a week.
yun din problem ko about having a Metal Halide lighting eh, tataas electric bill, hehe.
i have approx. 10 Kg or more dun sa tank ko, so far ok naman, but the problem is algae so i'm now in the search of a fish or inverts that will happily eat all the film algae, especially dun sa sand bed, bihira kasi yung mga nakikita kong mga fish dun sa mga foreign sites dito sa pinas, so mahirap, I just bought 5 more turbo snails to help keep the algae in check and an algae blenny, hope for the best na lang.

I've been thinking about adding an inexpensive sump, kahit man lang yung mag-cocontain siya ng macroalgae, and I really like the idea of having pods in my tank, kaso laging kinakain nung dalawang false percs ko so they don't really have the time to reproduce, kaso ang problema ko is how to incorporate it to an already running tank, and saan ko din ilalagay
sa cartimar dun sa mga puro babae and puro tank yung tinitinda nila? I fell for the "Ready made setup" back then, I also persuaded my dad to build the tank from the ground up but he thought it's too expensive, eh yun pala in the long run mas expensive pala ang ready made, good thing the leak in my tank occured, so I had the chance to make it right, hehehehehehe.
the lights dun sa tank is really not recommended when keeping corals, it's only a T8 lamp, 30 watts, 2 x 15 watts, isang actinic isang 7500K lamp siya, tinanggal ko lang dito sa tank ko is yung filter and the lights.
