Some say na mas mabagal yung pagccycle pag may skimmer. Pero marami pang argument dyan. Its up to you. Ako naka-on skimmer ko at least for the purpose of breaking it in.

Yung sa snails, personally I think di dapat lagyan especially pag may detectable ammonia and nitrite ka pa kasi harmful yan sa animals. They put snails to eat up the algae para hndi madumi tignan. Pero for me I plan to just let the algae bloom para mas marami maubos na nitrate. Pangit tignan but you're still cycling so what's the point of a clean looking tank? Better have the algae now than later pag may mga livestock ka na sa tank.

btw, yung apat na corals mo, pa-adopt mo muna. di mo mabubuhay yan kasi wala ka pang sufficient na ilaw. tsaka di mo magagawang favorable yang water quality nyang 5 gallons mo dahil kaka-set up pa lang nyan. wag tigas ulo.

cycling nga eh, so why put snails? yung skimmer personally I would put it in kung "live" talaga yung liverock na gamit, mas mabilis magstabilize ang system sa mas malinis na tubig, not the other way around. (dahil mas mabilis maalis yung unwanted organics at mas maiiwasan ang fluctuations sa oxygen at ph dahil sa dieoff at bacterial bloom, maiiwasan mo pa yung formation ng hydrogen sulfide)

Anyway, gaya ng sabi ni yose, personal preference mo iyan. Walang pic ng tank at walang posted paraneters so mahirap magassess at manghula. :p

As for the corals bro wala kaming magagawa kung ayaw mo munabg ipaadopt yan. But don't say we did not warn you pag namatay yan.

BUmaba na po ung amonia ko and Nitrite same parameter pa rin. By the way, ung corals ko was adopted by one of my friend but not a member of RP. Though they are looking good sa small tank ko na 5g, pinaadopt ko na sila as per all of your advice sorry kng matigas ang ulo ko gusto ko lng kasing mag effort para mabuhay ko sila in my own ways pero sabi nga ni master seth, i should be responsible enough para sa mga nabubuhay na nilalang hehehe.

Sana bumaba na rin ang nitrite ko... huhuhu....

as of now 9 days na po ako sa cycling. ask ko lng po sana kng ok lng ba magdagdag ng tubig kasi napansin ko bumaba na po ung water level ko nagevaporate na ata.. advice naman po kng ok lng ba magdagdag ng water kahit nasa cycling pa lng ako... also should it be freshwater? nagtest po ako sa hydrometer and ang reading ko po ngaun is 1.025 compared last week na 1.021

nabasa ko po sa ibang thread dito na normal lng daw na mataas ang amonia at first then when i goes down, the nitrite goes up then when it goes down, nitrate naman. sa parameters ko po ngaun, bakit mataas kagad ang nitrate ko?

another question po, since bumababa na ung amonia ko, tumataas na ang nitrite, pag bumaba na po ito, cgurado nitrate ko nasa 160 pa rin, pag nag WC po ako bababa daw ang nitrate but how about ung amonia and nitrite? tataas po ba ulit un?
