Natawa naman ako dun sa "cycled it for 24 hours".
Bro better have your corals adopted first until your "restarted" tank have cycled.
Research on the cycling process. Kahit mapababa mo yung nitrates mo di pa established yung bacterial base mo na magpprocess ng nutrients.
Yung tank mo, hayaan mo lang na ganyan. Cycling takes
at least 6 weeks. Test mo yung Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate at least weekly. Magkaka-ammonia spike pa yan kahit 0 reading ngayon. You have to be able to experience this first (in the same order):
1.) Ammonia spike
2.) Nitrite spike while Ammonia going down
3.) Nitrite going down, Nitrate going up, and Ammonia is nearly zero
4.) Ammonia, Nitrite undetectable. Nitrate level high.
Ito pa lang yung first steps, the reason why I stopped there is at after this, nag-iiba iba na approach ng mga tao. Magbasa basa ka din about cycling, so that by the time na nasa stage 4 ka na, may idea ka na ung pano mo itutuloy yung pagccycle mo.
You already know that this hobby is expensive...now you have to know that it takes a lot of patience as well.
Also, kapag tapos ka na mag-cycle, NEVER do that kind of disturbance like the steps you mentioned above again to your tank. Buti ang konti pa lang ng LS mo.
The more you learn, the more you realize how much you don't know.
