HELP!! newbie setting up 8 gal nano tank

HI im new here in reef Philippines, Im currently in need of help in setting up/ running a nano reef tank. ive had a large cichlild fishtank before but I know its a lot more different than my new nano tank. I have been researching stuff regarding nano tanks but I think suggestions from experienced hobbyists would be better. I currently have an 8 gal RS electrical nano tank, 1 small super actinic compact fluorescent (but im thinking of modding an LED with blu& white lights to replace the compact fluorescent light), Resun HOB filter with white foam, carbon cartriges and crushed corals as filter media,(I replaced the overhead filter that comes with the tank because i think that its too small for a reeftank) , I currently have some live rocks, sea anemone,2 fishes, a yellowtail blue damsel and a mandarin goby. ammonia level today is 0 but nitrite is 1.0.. I used KENT pro ammonia detox last night before I tested the ammonia levels , maybe it was the reason why it dropped down to zero. I wonder if im doing things right I really need help from you guys.. thanks in advance.

I'm not sure with the damsel coz they are tough pero the anemone & mandarin might die. Anemone, i think it for matured tank & the goby, limited lang diet nila.
Please read.. read... articles & forums.
I hope your a pro or at least you're up for a challenge, having a reef tank of that size, that's a wow.

thanks for the info. my mom bought me the tank as a gift kasi.
pnaset up nya sa cartimar e diko alam.. nagulat nlng ako may nano tank sa bahay, kaya ngyn naghahabol ako para mapabuti ng tank.. ive replaced the lights into dymax nx5 led plus 1 LED 6500k bulb.. ok n kya un?.. and san po kya nkakabili ng macro algae or chaeto? kasi gagawin kong fuge ung HOB filter ko.. and how can i have pods on my tank pla?.. thanks in advance.. ill post new pics .. I need pros comments on my tank so badly... tthanks thanks

Ung anemone gumagapang e nagtago sa bato.. Ung mandarin mahirap kuhaan ng pics lagu nasa ilalin ng mga bato parang may tinutuka tuka. Ano b pnapakain dun?

anyways, mahirap mag pico tank since hindi stable yung tank parameters.. ibig sabihin, mabilis at malaki magswing yung temp, salinity, at iba bang parameters.. kaya hindi siya recommended for beginners.. with that size tank, you can keep 1, maybe 2 fishes.. the dragonet will surely not survive.. it feeds on pods only.. it requires, i think a minimum of 50g.. better 90g.. mauubos niya agad yung pods diyan.. mamamatay siya due to starvation.. give it up for adoption na lang.. the anemone, will need strong lighting and a mature tank.. mature tank meaning atleast 6-12 months na.. for now, wala kang problem sa temp kasi tagulan, pero pagdating ng summer, sobrang iinit yan.. max temp is 29 deg celsius.. pag lumampas na, mamamatay na corals.. pero kaya naman ng 8g, yun nga lang, yung mga livestock mo now, medyo hindi sila pwede sa 8g.. kung gusto mo magreef, leather corals, zoas, rics ang ok diyan.. yung light mo masyadong yellow, usually 12000K or 14000K... para bluish..
