What I actually planned is to use our old 20g cube kaso mahal ang equipment for that tank lalo na ang lights. Wala akong budget for a bigger tank kase I'm still studying.

Pwede na kaya yung Aquazonic na 11w PC(?) for lighting sa tank ko? Is it enough to keep zoas and mushrooms? I see some members using that for their pico setups.

Sa Metro ko siya nabili.

Alam ko nga medyo bitin ako dahil sa capacity ng tank pero I cannot use the 20g kase we have a flowerhorn there. Ok lang si erpats na gawing SW ung 20g kaso may nakatira pa. :? Matatagalan pa siguro...

Update Day 6:

Did a 10% water change and filled the tank para hindi kita yung water line and it looked better since minimized yung mga micro bubbles which I find it quite annoying. So far temperature is still ok ranging 28-30 degrees Celsius. I'm still looking for a better light fixture for my tank since the only lighting as of now is a 24w NOT5 with Akari Light Fixture na ginagamit ko sa study table ko.

Update after a few weeks...

Updated FTS

Did final arrangements with the aquascape. I will probably buy 2 more pieces to support the bigger LR para stable siya. Few more weeks to go...

Nothing special just a 24W Akari NOT5... I'll might buy those Aquazonic or Dymax LEDs after the cycle has completed. As of now no problems with algal growth pa.

Napadala ako sa pagbili ng LS nakaka-tempt!
Under observation sila since I do not have a test kit as of now... but I am very religious with Top-offs, WC and monitoring of Temp at SG.

Just bought 2 nassarius snails. Just fed them a small piece of squid meat at kumain sila. Antakaw nila!

One is a bit shy and buried itself in the sandbed. The other one is busy...

Finally going to its 4th week of cycling and I might borrow a test kit to see if the water is ok.

FTS update:

My 2 nassarius snails are doing well so far after 4 days. They take turns in cleaning the tank. :)
I have a lot of pods crawling on my glass wall and there might be more in the rock and substrate. Is there a way to reduce their population I have them after 2 weeks in the cycle.

Hitchhiker ID please? :? I noticed this one for quite a while and its moving pa! Do think it's bad to have this?

There's a worm crawling on my glass! Is this bad for my tank as in parasitic or not reef safe?

Oh ok... guess good pala ang mga pods.

It's brown in color but darker compared to the LR pero parang may radial design siya. Parang filter feeder siya based on my observations.

Since skimmerless ang system ko, I'll probably add 1 or 2 fanworms. From what I have read, they do well in a skimmerless system and help improve water quality since they live of in consuming organics, detritus, bacteria, and plankton.

you may want to add activated carbon to you filtration, sucks up dissolve organics before they become ammonia... tatagal pa ng 1 month

I have a supply of them already. I replace the old ones in the cartridge with new ones every month.

Cycling week 4

Already borrowed a test kit from my friend, unfortunately its a dipstick type but the brand is API (I know that dipsticks are not accurate and are just an estimation :? ). Just tested the current status of the water and luckily my ammonia and nitrite seem to be at zero, nitrates are in 10-20ppm color :). I'll leave it to cycle a little for another week, do a minor water change, replace my AC, and add my first batch of LS from Cartimar.

1. 1 or 2 Tubeworms
2. Mushroom corals

My snails have done a good job keeping the tank clean. Still active and been for a week in my tank already :). I also noticed light patches of coralline on my LR.
