TANK UPDATE

There's not much update on the livestocks but I made some modifications on my equipments to better care of my collections.

1. Upgraded my lights from 40watts to 66watt LED. Current specs are:

10x 3watt 10,000k
10x 3watt 445nm Royal blue
3x1watt blue
3x1watt red


2. Installed a DIY ATO using a micro switch making my salinity at constant values between 1.25 - 1.26. This micro switch idea came from one of our members but wishes not to be mentioned... you know who you are Sir. Thanks.


Used a plastic container as a floater hehe


3. Installed a RO reactor care of Peter and after a few tweaks here and there is working properly. Its an HOB type very elegant despite of the cheap price and it works!


Had to put teflon tape on the hose to avoid leaking. Will be putting some brackets here as well to be safe.


My temperature even with the increase in light output I hope it stays that way.


This is the first time I saw my brain coral open like this after feeding the DD coralfood... natuwa lang ako hehe

Nice update bro burton! I'm sure na mas malakas din yan LEDs mo sa personal
paki PM sakin kung ano klase ng DD coral food na gamit mo para masabay ko sa order ko kay mr peter.

if you dont mind, how does the micro switch work? is it fail safe? what pump (brand and capacity) are you using hindi ba bumabaliktad ikot or nag ii-stall? how often does it turn on in a day in your observation?

sensya na dami ko tanong hehehehe kasi i also need to have an ATO mas prefered ko sana gravity fed pero wala ako makita locally available float valve (yung hindi pang toilet hahaha) pero kung wala my next option is pump fed.

sa ATO, hindi kaya kalawangin siya? hindi siya waterproof eh.. microswitch is cheap, nasa 20 lang ata yan.. pero can it handle 220V? yung ginagamit ko ngayon yung sa alexan na float switch.. what i like about it is it is completely waterproof.. problem lang, mabilis masunong pag sa 220V siya diretso.. i added a relay na lang.. 300 yung float switch.. and it works both ways, turn on or off when the water reaches a certain level..
