Good day everybody. I just got back from Marina Aquaria and was a bit impressed by the health of most of the marine specimens there. Nasanay kasi ako sa Cartimar na quantity and not quality ang style ng LFS. Although nothing beats Cart. for sheer variety and selection, puro heartache naman ang mapapala mo sa mga fish na iuuwi mo. What I noticed about Marina is that, like Direct Aquatics, they have less species to choose from (compared to cartimar) but they try to make sure that they condition the fish as fast as they can before they sell it. They will honestly tell you if the fish has been eating or not and can show you that the fish you are interested in is eating well before you buy.
Some of the fish I saw last night:
YellowTang (mimic and hawaiian) 1.5" to 3" - healthy & eating well
Blue Tang (Hippo) 4" & above
Pacific Sailfin Tang
Clown Tang
Powder Brown Tang
Naso (Lipstick) Tang
Ctenochaetus na tang - can't tell what exact type pero maliliit
different triggerfishes
common clownfish
Blue Face Angelfish
I will go there again today and give an update on what i saw.....I am tempted to get hawaiian kasi....hehehe
