cartimar LFS's have a quick buck mentality. they know your corals will not survive given the techniques they tell you (actinic lights lang pwede na, one week after cycling pwede na corals, etc). but this is advantageous to them, since you will come back to buy more corals. if you know how to take care of them, corals will probably outlive you, and that's bad for business. they just dont care. jim, if you go to cartimar, you'll see what i mean. corals dumped on tanks, positioned directly on intake pipes, corals placed close to each other (making "sabunot" with each other), etc...

and i can't blame people from patronizing them, because that place is the only source.

what we need is an alternative. a coral shop with permit. a responsible collector in the wild, and a coral fragger of SPS. a shop which will screen its customers, ask if they have enough equipment to maintain corals, even conduct weekend seminars, issue certificate of attendace, and "license" to take care of corals. something like that.

we patronize the alternative, and boycott cartimar. cartimar business closes down.
