Seen this thread in reef central, not sure if ok magpaste ng link, paki advise at close na lang thread kung hindi allowed. Sana kaya din natin gawin at kung merong marunong na sana maituro sa iba.. ;)

Given na stable ang system at okay ang lighting, flow and parameters lahat ng corals kahit SPS na near death na bumabalik pa rin. :)

Good example yung sa neighbor ko na reefer din, kaso hindi siya active sa mga forums. Lahat ng rescued corals niya kagayang kagaya sa mga pics dun sa link. Kusang gumaling within a few weeks or months. :) Nakita na ni alvinbam at roy_gt yung frag tank niya na one year din namin pinagplanuhan at one year din na cycle.

Walang special regimen, walang dinodose. Regular feeding lang para sa mga badly damaged LPS gaya ng scoly at cyna.

This is really possible, tama si sir seth basta you give it the right condition it will heal. My neon scoly is now 90% healed i just isolated it sa fuge ko with right lighting and flow. :) i seldom post here naalala ko lang ung scoly ko sa topic nyo. Good day guys! :)

Wow. That's nice to hear. Ask ko lang, mas better daw i-cut yung skeleton kapag kumakalas na yung flesh kasi yan common sa lps? How about sa ibang scenario o ibang ls. Almost lahat naman tayo aiming na mapaganda water parameters natin kasi yun ang priority. Ano pa kaya pwedeng ibang iconsider na factors para malaman kung pwedeng mag heal sa tank natin ung ibang damaged corals.

May mga reefer din kaya na willing mag adopt ng wounded or dying corals?

Usually kahit anong system given na walang large swing sa parameters. IME lalong lalo na sa alkalinity at sa pH. Diyan talaga magkakatalo at sa ilaw. Malaking factor din kung may algae outbreak. Malaki ang odds na lalong mamatay yung coral sa tank na may problema sa algae.

Sa mga narescue at nafrag naming corals lagi namin pinapakinis yung outer parts ng exposed skeleton nila para maalis yung dumi o lumot at mas makaunat ng husto yung coral. I'll try to post some before and after shots of some fragged and some rescued corals like cynarina, parascolymia and sps corals kapag nakauwi ako sa bahay. Meron akong nirescue dito na green micromussa, 90% niya nagreceed na at halos naging necrotic na dahil sa cyanobacteria at dinoflaggellates, isang week pa lang sa akin halos lumabas na uli lahat ng polyps at wala nang necrosis.

Naalala ko rin yung rainbow chalice dati ni Calvin at Armand. (See calvin's tank thread) Nung unang dating nun sa akin bago nila kunin anlaki ng damage dahil sa stress during transit. Nahulog pa yun sa bubble coral lol. In a matter of days gumaling yung mga dead parts. Ngayon sa tank ni Calvin balik na sa dating kulay at growing fast pa.

Ayos yan bro marty.. meron kasi ibang system na kahit maganda parameters namamatayan pa din ng corals or pag nagkaproblem di na nakakarecover. Yung flow syempre dapat hindi malakas di ba? Nabasa ko din sa thread na yan na minsan dinidikitan nila yung dulo nung natatanggal na flesh part para di magtuloy tuloy makalas. Kung sayo nililinis sila kina cut, mas mabilis daw magform ng skeleton kesa hintayin bumalik yung flesh part.

Nag aadopt ka din ba ng corals for rescue? ;)

Meron bro, lalo kung bitin talaga sa ilaw. O kaya naman maganda reading sa water parameters pero may problema sa organic buildup (detritus/siltation), which is typical sa mga skimmerless tanks o kaya naman sa mga may heavy bioload at bitin yung flow at mechanical filtration. Light, flow, water quality hand in hand talaga hindi pwedeng kulang ng isa lalo kung para sa mga newly fragged or rescued corals.

Yup ganun na nga ginagawa namin, pakikinisin (alisin or putulin yung sharp edges) nung skeleton para mas madali magrecover.

Gusto ko man magampon hindi na kasya sa tank ko haha andami ko na rin inevict na rescued corals binalik ko na sa mga respective owners nila hehe

It will usually take 2-3 weeks to see an improvement in coral polyp extension. Pero mabilis ang healing kapag okay ang conditions. Lahat yan halos wala pang dalawang bwan lang ata gumaling na ng husto

Tama bro kenn. Nakakaawa tsaka sayang. Bawat coral na madedo lalo at wildcaught e malaki ang impact sa reef. :(

Kaya kung may coral na medyo di maganda ang condition, wag basta itapon kasi malaki pa rin ang chance na mabuhay. At siyempre mas maganda kung frags lang lagi para pag mamatay man may matitira.
