what animal?

i noticed this when i fed my fishes yesterday. its a long very fine filament that has other filaments dangling at intervals. it about 8- 10 inches long, the dangling filaments are 1-2 inches long. i'm just worried it has a 'sting' because my wrasse got jumpy when it touched the thing. i tried searching for the source but my leather coral is making it hard. can you guys i.d. this? is it safe?

feeder tentacles ng softies usually yan,exact sa drawing nyo sir. mga toadstool or sarcophyton probably.

the pic is very similar to the feeding appendage of CTENOPHORES...either way, harmless filter feeder din naman yan
