triny ko nga ung garlic piniga ko hanggang lumabas ung juice n hinalo ko sa fish food.kahapon kc nagka ich outbreak ako pero nakakapagtaka ngaun biglaan isang isda na lang meron n konti na lang ung iba kc freshwaterbath sila lahat wid a medicine that is for whitespot for fresh water and saltwater.n i feed them with my own formulated food. :lol:

so far ok naman

hi jolt,

I'm very addict with saltwater aquarium. I find it easier to take care compared to freshwater. In every country I go I check out all their system. The best one I saw is in New Orleans (kaya lang baka sira na). Mike Dizon's system is very good too. Thank You. I'm very willing to help all those starters. Just call my attention.

Hey doc, have you ever experimented feeding your marine fish with garlic. I haven't tested my fishes with this method. Do you think? It really works.
Maybe we need to find out if this really works and let the other guys know about it.

This is this month's article on garlic, from Reef Central's "Reefkeeping Online Magazine" http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-10/sp/index.php According to the article, garlic does not work or at least not yet a proven cure for marine ick.

I see no reason for anyone to stop using garlic just because it does not work for others. I've tried garlic myself but I've never really encountered a serious outbreak to make an informed opinnion on its efficacy. Worth a try anyway.

there was a time that I tried to use garlic, I don't know if it was because of the galic,but the signs of ich dissapeared. I'm yet to be convinced that garlic really works... I have to wait till my fish has ich again

hey mike,

I haven't have any outbreak and I'm praying na hindi ako magkaroon. Its simple, the only way to prove it is to try using garlic. We just need to take the risk of the side effects. Same here as being a surgeon, we need to take risks to improve our craft. Even if the book says this and that as long as we haven't tried it ourself then we really can't say.
