it is possible that this particular morph is found in our reefs. This zoanthid is (was) from Indonesia and the color was not like it is now. The color from what it is now is due to aquarium lightning and water params it has already adopted.

This zoa was originally brownish when it was collected from the wild. Mr. Casey Lacefield was the guy responsible of introducing this zoa, turning this brownish to it's maximum potential purple.

I know that these aren't purple hornets, but they're probably the closest I can get to them. This is a matting type zoa with smaller polyps, but the colors and pattern are similar; purplish with a yellow ring. although less intense, but maybe that's just because of my lighting (t5 lang ako). maybe i can call it a purple mosquito :roll:

nakakuha na ako ng ganito sa cartimar. pero violet-purple-pink combination.. sadly nagcrash first tank ko. :cry:
