question for corals supplementation and food

what is the common needs of corals in sense of food and supplementation?
and what you can reccomend for food and supplement for corals?
can corals survive in long period of time with supplementation and giving food?

Corals in general? It depends really...

There are lots of prepared foods in the market. It depends if your corals are sps, lps, or soft corals, or non-photosynthetic corals.

lps - a good amount of light and periodic feeding of prawns will do ( or prepared food. My brain eats Nutrafin pellets)

sps - I have no experience on this. But they feed it with light and this green stuff. I think it's phytoplankton). Very good water quality and calcium supplementation.

soft corals - light. (some say nitrates for xenia) and those tank particles that look like dust...

non-photosynthetic like sun corals and gorgonians - this I have experienced ( I gave my sun and gorge away because the feeding messes up my water quality) I use cyclopeeze and blenderized shelfish and prawns.

sir titan, i have a green brain. yung matigas. paano makukuha ang pellets? wla naman siya mga polyps/tentacles.

i feed my gonio, hammer, and other lps with shrimp ang omega one with garlic.

how about feather dusters pala?

Feather dusters will eat the detritus, the dust like stuff in your tank. The brain will open at night when the light is out.

Buy mo yung coral magazine Volume 7,number 5, about coral feeding and na explain din dito yung pro biotics why we dose carbon sa reef system natin, meron sa marine hub sa Metrowalk, very informative, I think every one who would like to keep sps should read the articles in it, in-explain kasi dito how the coral feeds in the wild and how we can simulate or replicate yung food availability by using different methods of carbon dosing,I saw more than 5 copies of it and if wala na stock pwede siguro mag order ng back issues from sir Randell.

ask ko lang po kung may future pa itong coral ko. I forgot its name but its sounded like Gonosporia ? anyways, before lahat nung appendages niya lumalabas ngayon medyo parang na papanot. hindi na lahat lulmalabas .. would this mean na nanghihina na at eventually mamamatay na rin ? kasi yung livestocks ko all died kahapon lang
