FOWAC with Live Corals ?

Postby dean » Wed Jan 05, 2011 4:37 pm

I am planning to mix one of my FOWAC (Fish with Artificial Corals) tank with some live corals. Although I am happy with my FOWAC the corals look so "stiff" . I just want to add some live corals to "soften" and create movements in my tanks.

My livestock includes Angels like Scribble, Flames, Chryserous, Regal, Emperator, Queen a couple of butterflies and wrasse. What are my choices ?

TIA

I guess it has to be restricted to the kinds of corals that those fishes dont usually eat so im thinking maybe rics and some soft corals?

Maybe some leather corals and some xenias. Rics are also a possibility. Zoas, LPS, SPS, are definitely out.
You want to display your LIVESTOCKS and not your LIVE ROCKS!

Ryan / Shandy

Thanks guys will try first with some xenia and see how it goes. Pwede bang hammer later?

BTW am just using t5s and I guess will have to raise my salinity level to 24 ( currently at 15) for my FOWAC.

Thanks
