Hmmm... about low ph - baka nga low oxygen level ang cause... pag photoperiod ng sump with chaeto, that would help increase oxygen levels bec of photosynthesis but if reverse photoperiod ang sump, problem ang ph during the day... May window ba or opening to outside air na malapit sa tank? I think your skimmer should have an air intake hose... you can connect a long hose to that intake and the other end can be set to get fresh air from outside... plus you can put alk buffers to cushion the ph swings...
btw, baka hindi din naman low ph ang prob ng zoas mo but you should keep ph at or little above 8.0 ... baka acclimation issue lang - komusta na sila? are they opening already?
