Mga master! super newbie po ako sa pag aalaga ng Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp ito po yung mga question ko about this shrimp

1. Kung mag aalaga ka ba ng ganitong shrimp, kailangan mo ba pa talaga mag karoon ng copper test kit? rinig ko kasi maselan daw sila dito.
2. Saan po ba galing ang copper?
3. Kung may na detect akong copper sa aquarium water ko, ano po dapat ang gagawin?
4. Ang mineral water ba ( yung nabibili sa mga water station) safe for saltwater aquariums?may chlorine or cloramine o di kaya may copper ba mga ganyang tubig?
5.Saan din po sensitive ang mga Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp? para ma aware ako.
6.Kailangan din po ba talaga ng iodine supplement mga to? rinig ko kasi kailangan nila to para maka molt. If so, ano po brand ang ire recommend niyo? yung cheap lang na makikita sa cartimar

IMO. ang critical stage lang about cleaner shrimp is yung acclimation. you need to slowly acclimate it by using drip method for about an hour. hindi kasi sila pwedeng float mo lang ung bag sa tank mo tapos after 15mins. lagay na agad yung shrimp. tepok un sigurado. hehe!

about sa copper. yaan na natin sa maga gurus yan. haha! HTH.

Addition lang. Lahat ng inverts ay sensitive po sa copper.

currently i have one scarlet skunk CS, and after i bought it i let the bag float for 15mins sa tank then i put the water and the CS sa isang container and i dripped acclimate it ng mga 1hour... then it went straight to the tank...

immediately acclimated na kagad yung CS, naglalakad na sa mga LRs and nagtatawag na ng fish para linisin... kumain din kagad, sobrang takaw nga... then sakto siguro, after a week lang nag-molt na sya... nauna pa syang nagmolt dun sa camel shrimp ko.... saka ang bilis lumaki, pakain kasi ako ng pakain.

so far 1month na sya sa tank and i never tested for Cu or any elements, basta i use Ro/Di water and Instant Ocean or Reef Crystals saltmix... i've never used dechlorinated tap water since may bad experience nako sa tap water when all my LS died dun sa FW tank ko...

i never used any supplements like iodine, since meron na rin namang iodine ang saltmix (although kaunti).

for me yung survival and thriving, depende pa rin talaga sa health nung invertebrates or LS nung makuha sila sa LFS.

dont worry about the copper... fish medication has copper and if your are medicating do it in your hospital tank... and about sa acclimation dyan ka medyo alerto, give 1:1 (1 drop per sec.) ratio during acclimate for two hours... to fast droplets will kill it... good luck
