blood shrimp and cleaner shrimp... PATAY

hi guys! bought these two shrimps last friday. wala namang problem sa paglagay ko sa kanila. kaso paggising ko nung lunes, both of them were dead. yung cleaner shrimp pinagpiyestahan na ng dalawang coral banded ko while yung isa, ready ng pagpiyestahan nung dalawa.

bawal pa talagang pagsamahin ang iba't ibang klase ng shrimp?!? gusto ko na sanang kunin yung dalawa at gawing sinigang na hipon!!! ang ganda (at ang mahal!) pa man din nung blood shrimp.

isa pa. aggressive ba yung mga tangs or damsels sa coral beauty? kasi yung binili ko din yun friday, napansin ko nung saturday may sugat na sa pisngi. nung sunday, nagulat na lang akong completely nabangasan na yung mukha niya! come to think of it, parang freddy krueger! nyahahaha! sayang at ang ganda pa man nya.

Hi sir pasaway, im not a guro but i'll try to give my help

I have experienced having a killer banded shrimp and im quite surprised that u actually have two of them. Ung banded ko, andami ng pinatay nun nagsimula s sexy shrimp, naging anemone shrimp hanggang naging bloodshrimp na! after the last one, i removed it from my tank and placed it in my other tank. Banded shrimps are aggressive against other shrimps by nature and im not surprised if they were responsible for murdering your shrimps.

As for the damsel, tang and angel question, I think u have three very aggressive fishes there at siguro nga inaway ng damsel at tang yan, lalo n kung late addition yan. Once a damsel has been introduced earlier than another fish, the latter is bullied, even to the point of death. BTW, tangs also have the capability to beat up and even kill shrimps if the tang was introduced first from what I have read.

i have 2 CS, 1 banded and 1 blood red shimp which have been co-inhabiting the same LR for months, haven't seen any aggression between them. i think ph shock is what killed your shrimps

Me also same with Sir Wolf 2 CS 1 Blood and 1 CB without any problems at all. 8 months na sila, medyo aggressive ang banded kahit sa fish pero mabagal naman siya kaya useless din pagka agressive niya.

OT - ang suswerte niyo naman, nde mamatay shrimp ung banded shrinp niyo hehehehe. Ganda p naman din ng banded shrimp kso kung nde k tinanggal un, baka pati ung 2 CS ko nadale rin. Pinatay din pala nung BS ung anemone crab ko n isa before

hindi kaya mantis shrimp ang salarin?
i just found out na meron ako nito. nagkita ng anak ko na may sumisilip-silip dun sa bato. akala namin hermit crab biglang nakita ko ang laki. my bro-in-law said mantis shrimp daw yun and sya daw ang dahilan nung sound na parang may kumakatok dun sa aquarium ko.

next tym ayaw ko na ng coral banded shrimp. it killed all my 5 CS. it killed them one by one.

yun cbs ko naman po ay ok naman together with my 2 cs at 2 anemone crabs..talagang mangaagaw lang sila ng food kaya dapat unahin muna sila pakainin bago mga corals..

imo, cs talagang risk yan kahit anong drip/acclimation things gawin nyo. if it survives for 3-5 days in your tank, dapat ok na yun. sa simula lang sila mahirap. even blood shrimps. may kilala ako nag drip method ng 1 hour then after 5min niya nilubog sa tank nya deds bigla.

in my tank, most shrimps are there including 4 cs, 1 blood, a pair of banded shrimps, 1 pistol shrimp and 2 anemone crabs. with me for more than a year na except for the blood pero matagal na din yun siguro nasa 5 months. no aggression whatsoever except when im feeding them. sa simula lang sila risky mabuhay pero pag tumagal ng 1 week, tataas agad chance na tumagal sa tank mo except may biglang big change in water params. it might also help kung ittravel nyo with a carbon sa plastic daw or something they can hang on to lessen shock.
