Need help... 50g or a bit larger aquarium?

Postby r.awid369 » Wed Dec 07, 2016 4:39 am

Can anyone help me im a bit of a newbie still been researching and researching for months now on regarding to corals, fishes, inverts, and such but still I am a newbie. I currently have a 20 g tank (that seems to be working well) 1 frogspawn and 2 hammer is healthy, bubble coral is really puffing up real nice ( except in night " I might have a ph drop during night since I have no sump"), torch is healthy too, also the polyps are showing ( just recently got this one from cartimar ). I have 2 cleaner shrimp, 1 pistol shrimp, 5 snails, 1 spotted goby (sandsifting di ko alam tawag kasi daming iba iba and tawag diamond ba or spotted lang), 1 clown fish, 1 green tang, 2 cardinal. live rocks are slowly getting corraline and i mean slowly

I was hoping to get a bigger tank and im here to ask advices from the experts here on where to why to what to buy for my marine reef aquarium.

Im thinking 50 g with a 20/30 g sump? or a bigger tank maybe around 75? (is there a 75 gallon tank? :D :D ) also I really have no Idea on what king of lighting to buy or where to buy xD I only know so far is LED is better.

I am planning on starting this project around end of december or start of january being a new start and all that belief :)

please help me gurus.

Get the biggest tank you can get your hands on as having a big tank will be more forgiving when you are still learning the ropes of reefkeeping. Good luck.

remind ko lang sayo if mag large tank ka , it means malaki rin dapat ang budget mo for equipments, like skimmers , reactors and pumps, and if mag reef tank ka, idagdag mo na rin ang ilaw. isama mo na rin pala ang pagbili ng saltmix or NSW

Yes sir understood ko po ung cost, thats why Im asking narin dito for some brand ideas, setup idea, sump layout idea, everything po para kahit malaki ung gastos sa simula hindi na madagdagan due to failed or insufficient na equipments / layouts. sa water nmn NSW nmn binibili ko lagi sa LFS parang every week end kasi nag pupunta narin ako ng cartimar so why not go NSW nalang 4 times na filtered ung water na nabibili ko from marine quest store. ^^ :D :D

looking for your ideas and layout ideas po ^^ thank you for the reply :) 8) :)
