6000 liter tank acrylic or glass

Dear sirs,
A friend in Manila recommended your site to me. What lovely aquariums you guys have.
My name is andy sutton and I am building a large fresh water aquarium for a friend of mine Jason Probyn. The tank will be 10 meters long by 1.3 meters high and .6 meters wide.
The main structure will be made of concrete but We are trying to source a large piece of glass or acrylic for the front.
Can anyone in your group suggest weather glass or acrylic would be best, and where to get it from?

I already told Jason that it's north worth it to make an aquarium that long.

Glass is better and we suggest to keep the length to 10 to 12 feet max. (About 3 meters)

i agree with the glass. and since you're going to have it relatively high, you should go with 3/4" thick tempered glass.

just my .02

that size and the load of weight of water better to go acrylic! glass, you need at least 3/4 thick to hold that water, and 3/4 glass is too heavy to be a panel... and if this aquarium is in a public place, better acrylic cause any scratches (outer side) during its lifetime, you can easily remove it...

Maybe a series of shorter viewing panels, in one 6000 liter tank. For that matter, the panels could be round portholes.

Definitely acrylic. For large tanks, acrylic is much lighter and safer.
